Fresubin Energy

Fresubin 1.5 kcal Fibre Free Tube Feed is a food for special medical purposes and a nutritionally complete enteral tube feeding formula designed for patients with, or at risk of, disease-related malnutrition. Delivering 1.5 kcal/mL (1500 kcal per 1000 mL bag), it provides energy-dense nutrition suitable for patients with increased energy needs and/or fluid restrictions.

Formulated for long-term tube feeding in patients with normal metabolic requirements, it provides 56 g of high-quality protein per bag (approximately 1–1.2 g/kg body weight), supporting maintenance of muscle mass and overall nutritional balance. The protein source ensures a balanced amino acid profile for optimal utilisation.

The fibre-free composition is suitable for patients who cannot tolerate fibre, while low lactose and gluten content support improved digestive tolerance. Enriched with fish oil and vitamin D (20 µg per recommended daily requirement), it aligns with current nutritional recommendations, particularly for immobile patients without endogenous vitamin D synthesis.
